This butter - loaded with spices and herbs - is a winner for every dinner party. It`s easy to make, and ready in no time. You can eat it with bread, potatoes, pasta, vegetables or whatever is in your nearest vicinity. you can also make it in any season you like because it`s a great companion at barbecue parties in the summer or on a wintery fondue night.
I know this isn`t a healthy recipe, but if you use it once in a while it`s no problem. And you feel less guilty once you eat it, because it`s so delicious.
This recipe is for quite a big amount. But I always tend to make it for a group of friends. You will notice they love it. It`s just to make sure you won`t run out to fast. It might also be a habit of mine to certainly have enough food or drinks. If it`s too much, just make half. Or store a part in the freezer.
Recipe for 280g
Ingredients
250 g Salted Butter,
6 - 8 big cloves of Garlic,
3 tbsp Curry powder,
2 tsp olive oil,
2 tbsp Smoked Paprika powder,
1 tbsp dried Lavas (optional),
1 tbsp freshly chopped Parsley,
1 tbsp freshly chopped chives,
1 tsp cayenne pepper,
1 tsp Black Pepper,
1 tsp mustard seeds,
1 tsp fleur de sel,
How to make it
Let your butter become soft at room temperature.
Remove the haert from the cloves of Garlic and press it.
Stir the Olive Oil gently in the butter.
Put all other ingredients in the butter and mix it al together. => Make sure it is mixed well.
Store it in a container with a lid, in the fridge.
You can also store it in the freezer if you have too much. => Before use, let it defrost in the fridge for 24 hours.
Take this delicious butter out of the fridge 15 - 30 min to soften. This way it has a nice smooth consistency and the savoury flavours will come out for the best.
