Raita

Raita is an Indian cucumber yoghurt sauce. It easy to make and delicious and fresh.

I really like it in summers because it's so refreshing. I first ate this with some papadums, but since then i tried it with different stuff. Nowadays it is one the side dishes that return on the table quite often.


Recipe for 10 people.

Prep Time: 5 min.

Cooking Time: 5 min.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Greek yoghurt,

  • 1 Cucumber,

  • 4 big Garlic Cloves,

  • 2 tsp Cumin,

  • 2 tbsp fresh Chives,

  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped Mint leaves,

  • a pinch of Cayenne Pepper,

  • Salt & Pepper.


Recipe:

  • Grate the Cucumber.

  • Chop the garlic and other Spices.

  • Mix the Cucumber with the Yoghurt and Spices.
