FOOD
Cooking, Baking & Tasting

I still remember the first time I cooked. I must admit I don't really remember it very vividly.

I was 5 years old, had long blond hair that grew until my but. There I was on a chair at the gas stove baking my first crêpes ever. I even threw them in the air just like my mother did the day before. All I did was copied the actions my mother did the day before. A few baked crêpes later my mother came home and was in total shock. Probably one part in awe because my hair didn't catch fire, but certainly also because I made some perfect crêpes... Minus the one I threw at the ceiling and was still hanging there.

When I got 8 years old I got my first real cookbook (for kids). My parents and siblings didn't think it was a bad idea because from then on I made them breakfast in bed. Only my sister didn't always like it I woke her op for it at 7 o clock.

When I got older my interest for food never passed.
I had my Chinese cooking moment at 12,  my pasta moment at 15, oven dishes  at 18 and cupcakes around 21.

So when I was at Graduate school and noticed my heart wasn't in it anymore, I decided to quit school and Inscribed myself in professional cooking class. After that I worked in different restaurants where my skills improved thanks to the tutoring of different chefs. I learned so much thanks to them.

I worked as a cook for several years but honestly it took a great toll on my life. My relationship with my husband, friends and family went (very steep) downhill. This because I worked so much and wanted to grow, become better in what I did. So I decided to take a totally different road and inscribed at Graduate school to become a nurse.

Even though I quit my professional career as a cook, now I an cook for my loved ones again. My experience as a cook gave me the opportunity to rise above what I thought I ever could do with food.

So as you can see my passion for food and cooking started early and left-off a long way. This didn't douse my spark to cook but just helped it flare up. So here I will share my recipes, easy and more difficult, but 100% Me.

One Big warning!
If you don't like music put your volume a little lower because I complement each recipe with a song. It always fits the recipe and sometimes fits the mood when I make it. There's music that will make you wanna dance, wipe away a tear maybe and some lyrics are just hilarious. This just to make your day, and maybe mine also!
